Moke & Tone Remix Contest

Last weekend I knocked out a remix to enter in Moke & Tone's "Destiny" Remix Challenge.

The winner was announced yesterday. DiaDiesel out of CT took top honors, but your boy Kev got some recognition as well...so I wanted to share...

"On behalf of Diamond Music Group, !LLMIND & Classic Material NY, we are pleased to announce DiaDiesel (reppin CT) as the official winner of The "Destiny" Remix Challenge. The judging panel consisted of Moke & Tone, !llmind as well as myself. Out of several competitive submissions in a contest that yielded over 800 DOWNLOADS, it was DiaDiesel's use of menacing horns and spellbinding keys that created a sinister reinterpretation of the original, edging his remix over the top for him to be crowned the winner...

...We would also like to extend an honorable mention to the bicoastal DJ Kev Sakoda who came through with a very impressive remix, where he'll be awarded with a limited edition "I Run NY" tee-shirt as well, so shouts to Kev!

Best,
Matt Diamond
Diamond Music Group/Coalmine Records"

Here's my entry ("We're #2, We're #2")...

Those Chosen Remix

A couple weeks ago the fellas from Those Chosen stopped by the club to say whaddup and blessed me (and the folks at the spot) with some of their music. I flipped a remix of their song "Just When I Say" and wanted to post it here so everyone can check it out.

Shout to Bo and Those Chosen...check them out at Bandcamp and IAmManuteBol.com!
